Editorial policy: how we build MediHub
Updated 2026-11-04
MediHub has two parts: medicine price comparison in 32 countries and 112 free health calculators. This page explains where the numbers come from and how we check them.
Medicine prices
- Live search reads the public listings of each country's online pharmacies when you search. MediHub does not sell medicine and is not paid to rank a pharmacy.
- Price tables on guide pages come from a dated snapshot of those listings. Each table shows the date it was checked, and prices older than 45 days are removed automatically.
- A listing counts for a medicine only when the brand name matches the product name. Where pharmacies sell different pack sizes (for example a strip, a single tablet or a box in Bangladesh), we convert to a price per tablet or capsule so the comparison is fair.
- A guide page without a current price is kept out of search engines until it has one.
Health calculators
- Every calculator uses a published formula or reference: for example WHO BMI and waist cut-offs, Mifflin-St Jeor for energy needs, CKD-EPI 2021 for eGFR and WHO growth references for children.
- Each page lists its sources (such as WHO, CDC, NHS, ACOG, AAP, NKF and the original papers) and its formula, so you can check the maths.
- The worked example on each page is produced by running the calculator itself, so the example always matches the tool.
- The MediHub editorial team writes the calculators and checks them against those sources. Each page shows the date its content last changed, and we update a page when guidance changes or an error is found.
- Calculators run in your browser. What you type is not stored or sent anywhere.

What MediHub is not
MediHub does not diagnose, prescribe or give medical advice. Calculator results are estimates for education. Talk to a doctor, pharmacist or dietitian before you act on a result, and read the medical disclaimer.
