About the Pace Calculator

The pace calculator solves running pace, time or distance when you know two of the three. It shows pace per kilometre and per mile, speed, and finish times at that pace for 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon.

Also known as: running pace calculator, min per km calculator, marathon pace calculator, race pace calculator.

Worked example

Your pace: 5:00 min/km (12.0 km/h). 5.00 km in 25:00 is a pace of 5:00 /km (12.0 km/h).

Formula and cut-offs

Pace = time / distance. Time = pace x distance. Distance = time / pace. Speed (km/h) = 3,600 / pace in seconds per km. 1 mile = 1.609344 km.
